Today, Kathy and I enjoyed another ride to eat (RTE) at Murphy’s Steakhouse in Winchester, Texas. This was the first RTE for the year and for the new decade!
It was great that Bobbie could join us for the ride. It started out cold as it was only 42 degF as I rolled down the driveway. Heated grips and seat for me. Kathy was wearing my Warm n’ Safe heated jacket so she managed the cold very well. Beautifully clear and sunny as we rode west on the backroads following the MS-150 bike ride route through Bellville, Industry and Fayetteville. By the time we arrived in Winchester it was in the low 50’s
At 10:30 there were only a half dozen motorcycles in the parking lot. By the time Murphy’s opened at 11:00am there were over 50! I had posted the RTE on three online motorcycle forums, so the word had definitely got out about the event!
It was great to see some old friends again after so long.
The steaks at Murphy’s did not disappoint!
On the way home we stopped off at the Rohan Meadery north of La Grange.
It was a great day of riding and sharing with friends.
